# Knowify Review 2026: Pricing, Features and Who It’s For

Knowify is contractor software built around the contract job — bidding it, running it, and invoicing it, including AIA billing — rather than around the service call. That focus is its greatest strength and the single most important thing to understand before you buy it.

This review is based on Knowify’s own published pricing and product documentation, read on 1 September 2026. Where a figure is not published, we say so rather than estimating it.

## Knowify Pricing at a Glance (2026)

| Plan | Billed yearly | Billed monthly | Users included |
|---|---|---|---|
| **Core** | $99 / month | $149 / month | **1** |
| **Advanced** (marked “Popular”) | $329 / month | $399 / month | 10 |
| **Enterprise** | Not published — “Talk to us” | Unlimited |
| Each additional user | $29 / month | — |

Source: knowify.com/pricing, read 1 September 2026.Knowify publishes its prices, which already puts it ahead of most of the platforms recommended to electrical and mechanical contractors. Of the vendors that appear most often in this category, several publish no figure at all.

## Overall Rating: 7.5/10

Strong on the contract-job chain, honest about its pricing, and genuinely good at [job costing](https://fieldcamp.ai/electrician-software/best-job-management/). Marked down for a plan structure where the entry tier includes a single user, and for putting all service-work capability behind a paid add-on.

## Knowify Pricing: What You’ll Actually Pay

### The one-user problem on the Core plan

Core is advertised at $99 per month billed yearly, and it **includes one user**. Knowify defines a user as anyone who logs in. Additional users are $29 per month each.

That arithmetic turns on you quickly. A ten-person shop on Core pays $99 + (9 × $29) = **$360 per month** — which is **more than the Advanced plan at $329**, while getting fewer features.

![Chart showing Knowify's Core plan overtaking Advanced in cost at the ninth user, $331 against $329](https://cms.fieldcamp.ai/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/01-core-vs-advanced-crossover.png)The exact crossover is the **ninth user**: Core $331 against Advanced $329.

| Users | Core (yearly) | Advanced (yearly) | Cheaper option |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $99 | $329 | Core |
| 5 | $215 | $329 | Core |
| **9** | **$331** | **$329** | **Advanced — crossover** |
| **10** | **$360** | **$329** | **Advanced** |
| 15 | $505 | $474 | Advanced |

Calculated from Knowify’s published $99 base, $329 Advanced base and $29 per additional user, yearly billing.

### The add-ons that are not in the headline price

Four capabilities sit outside the base plans:

- **Service Pro — $99/month yearly, $199/month monthly.** This is where real-time dispatching, detailed equipment history, automated appointment reminders, payment processing and inventory management live. If you run service work alongside projects, this is not optional.
- **Live Equipment Tracking — $25/vehicle/month yearly, $35 monthly.** OBD or wired GPS trackers plus access to the FleetSharp telematics platform.
- **AI Dashcams — $25 each yearly, $35 monthly.** Knowify states the dashcam count cannot exceed the vehicle count.
- **Tool Tracking — $99/month**, the same price on yearly or monthly billing.

![Stacked bar showing Knowify's $329 Advanced plan rising to $652 a month once Service Pro, equipment tracking and tool tracking are added](https://cms.fieldcamp.ai/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/02-how-329-becomes-652.png)Separately, **inventory sits on the Enterprise tier**, whose price Knowify does not publish. Its description reads “Everything in Advanced, plus unlimited users, inventory, and more.”

### Real-world cost: a ten-person electrical contractor

Take a shop running both commercial project work and service calls, with ten people logging in:

| Line | Billed yearly | Billed monthly |
|---|---|---|
| Advanced plan (10 users included) | $329 / mo | $399 / mo |
| Service Pro add-on | $99 / mo | $199 / mo |
| **Monthly total** | **$428** | **$598** |
| **Year one** | **$5,136** | **$7,176** |

Add five tracked vehicles and the yearly figure rises by $125/month, or $1,500 a year.![Knowify year-one cost for ten users, $5,136 billed yearly against $7,176 billed monthly](https://cms.fieldcamp.ai/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/03-year-one-cost.png)Paying monthly rather than yearly costs this shop **$2,040 more in year one** — a 40% premium. That is a larger annual-billing gap than most vendors in this category apply.

### Is Knowify worth the price?

For a contractor whose revenue is mostly fixed-price contract work, yes. $5,136 a year for bidding, contract management, job costing and AIA invoicing is competitive, and the job-costing depth is real rather than a dashboard.

For a contractor whose revenue is mostly service calls, the maths is less kind: you are paying for a contract-management engine you will underuse, then paying again for Service Pro to get the dispatching that service-first platforms include as standard.

## Who Is Knowify For?

- **Best for:** commercial and residential trade contractors whose work is fixed-price contracts, with AIA billing requirements and a genuine need for job costing.
- **Also good for:** electrical, mechanical and specialty subcontractors who bid work, run it in phases, and bill in stages against a schedule of values.
- **Not the right fit for:** service-led businesses whose day is dispatching short jobs — the dispatching lives behind a paid add-on and the product is not organised around the appointment.
- **Not the right fit for:** single operators who intend to stay on the entry plan while adding staff, because the per-user pricing overtakes the next tier at the ninth login.

## The Good and The Bad: Knowify Pros & Cons

### What works

- **It publishes its prices.** Base plans, per-user cost and every add-on are on the page. In a category where several major platforms publish nothing, this is worth real credit.
- **AIA billing is in the base plan.** Knowify’s own Core description reads “Bid, execute, and invoice for fixed-price and AIA jobs.” Most field service platforms cannot produce a G702 or G703 at any price.
- **Job costing is the product, not a report.** The Advanced tier exists specifically for “powerful project management and job costing tools,” which is a different proposition from a revenue dashboard.
- **Custom branded documents at no extra cost.** Knowify states its team will set up proposals, change orders and invoices to match your branding without an additional fee.
- **The contract chain is coherent** — bid, contract, phases, change orders, progress invoice — rather than a service tool with contract features bolted on.

### What falls short

- **The entry plan includes one user.** At $29 per additional login, Core costs more than Advanced from the ninth user onward while offering less.
- **Service work is a paid add-on.** Dispatching, equipment history, appointment reminders, payment processing and inventory all sit inside Service Pro at $99–$199/month on top of the base plan.
- **Inventory is gated to an unpriced tier.** You cannot work out what inventory management will cost without a sales conversation.
- **The monthly-billing premium is steep.** A ten-person shop pays roughly 40% more by choosing monthly over yearly — $7,176 against $5,136 in year one.
- **Equipment tracking is metered per vehicle and per dashcam**, so a fleet of ten adds $250/month yearly-billed before any dashcams.

## How We Reviewed Knowify

We read Knowify’s published pricing page and its electrical contractor product page on 1 September 2026 and built every figure in this review from those two sources. Where Knowify does not publish a number — the Enterprise tier — we say it is unpublished rather than estimating it.

We did not quote a G2 or Capterra score. Both sites returned an HTTP 403 to our request on the day of writing, and we do not reproduce ratings we have not read at source. The 7.5/10 above is our own assessment against five criteria: pricing transparency, fit for the stated buyer, depth in the core workflow, what sits behind add-ons, and how honestly the product describes its own limits.

## What is Knowify?

### What it promises

Knowify positions itself as software for contractors who win work by bidding it. Its electrical page leads with “Build an organized, profitable electrical business,” and the product is organised around estimating, proposals and contracts, project management, scheduling, time tracking, and invoicing and project finances.

### The reality

![Knowify contract jobs list showing fixed-price and AIA-style billing with revenue and cost per job](https://cms.fieldcamp.ai/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/05-contract-jobs-1024x691.png)It is a contract-job product first. That is not a criticism — it is the most useful thing to know about it. If your work is bid, awarded, phased and billed in stages, Knowify’s structure matches how you already operate. If your work arrives by phone and closes the same day, you are buying a contract engine and renting the dispatching separately.

## Knowify Features: What Works (And What Doesn’t)

### 1. Estimating, proposals and contracts

![Knowify bidding pipeline showing proposals by stage with days-in-stage sorting](https://cms.fieldcamp.ai/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/06-pipeline-stages-1024x690.png)The strongest area, and the reason most contractors arrive. Bidding, proposals and contract documents are core-plan features, and Knowify will brand the documents for you at no additional cost.

### 2. Job costing

The stated reason the Advanced tier exists. Real-time cost tracking against the original estimate is what Knowify is most often recommended for by other contractors.

### 3. AIA billing and progress invoicing

![Knowify generating an AIA G702 application and certificate for payment](https://cms.fieldcamp.ai/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/07-aia-billing-1024x690.png)Available from the Core plan. This is genuinely rare — most platforms marketed to electrical contractors support [staged invoicing](https://fieldcamp.ai/electrician-software/best-invoicing/) but cannot produce formal AIA payment applications.

### 4. Project management and scheduling

![Knowify crew scheduling board showing job addresses assigned across the week](https://cms.fieldcamp.ai/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/08-scheduling-1024x690.png)Phases, task lists and team scheduling, with project management depth arriving on Advanced rather than Core.

### 5. Time tracking

Included in the base plans, feeding the job-costing figures.

### 6. Service work — the add-on

![Knowify Service Pro mobile app showing a technician checked in with service assets listed](https://cms.fieldcamp.ai/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/09-service-mobile-1024x691.png)Service jobs, a service map, service assets, a service portal, and scheduling and dispatch all sit inside Service Pro. Judge this on your own revenue mix: if more than a third of your work is service, you are buying two products.

### 7. Equipment, tool and fleet tracking

![Knowify inventory across warehouse locations and a service team van](https://cms.fieldcamp.ai/wp-content/uploads/2026/09/10-inventory-1024x690.png)Delivered through metered add-ons rather than the platform: $25 per vehicle per month yearly-billed for tracking, $25 per dashcam, and $99/month flat for tool tracking.

### 8. Integrations

Knowify lists integrations as a plan-comparison category across all tiers, with accounting the primary case.

## Knowify for Electrical Contractors

Knowify markets directly to electrical contractors with a dedicated product page, and it is one of a small number of platforms consistently named in that context alongside BuildOps, ServiceTitan and Werx.

For a [commercial electrical contractor](https://fieldcamp.ai/electrician-software/) doing fit-outs and capital projects, the fit is good: bid, phase, cost and bill against a schedule of values, with AIA available from the entry plan. For a residential-led electrical business doing panel upgrades and EV charger installs, the fit is weaker — that work is service-shaped, and service is where Knowify charges extra.

The question worth asking before a demo is simple: what percentage of last year’s revenue came from bid contract work? Below about half, the add-on maths stops making sense.

## Knowify Alternatives

If Knowify’s contract focus or its add-on structure does not fit, the platforms most often compared against it are BuildOps for larger commercial construction, [ServiceTitan](https://fieldcamp.ai/reviews/servicetitan/) for high-volume service operations, Werx for AIA billing specifically, and FieldCamp for contractors who want the job record and AI dispatch [without an enterprise contract](https://fieldcamp.ai/pricing/). We compare all of them in our [Knowify alternatives](https://fieldcamp.ai/alternatives/knowify/) guide.

**Running contract work and service work in one system**

If your revenue is split between bid contracts and service calls, the add-on maths matters more than the headline price. Book a walkthrough and we will model your own mix — the jobs, the visits, the staged invoices and the hours — on your data rather than a demo dataset.

## Frequently asked questions

**

### How much does Knowify cost?

**

Knowify publishes three base plans. **Core** is $99/month billed yearly or $149 billed monthly and includes **one user**. **Advanced** is $329/month yearly or $399 monthly and includes ten users. **Enterprise** adds unlimited users and inventory but its price is not published. Additional users are $29/month each.

**

### Does Knowify do AIA billing?

**

Yes, from the entry plan. Knowify’s Core description reads “bid, execute, and invoice for fixed-price and AIA jobs.” Most field service platforms sold to electrical contractors support staged invoicing but cannot produce a formal G702 or G703.

**

### Is Knowify good for service work?

**

Service capability exists but sits behind the **Service Pro** add-on at $99/month yearly or $199 monthly — dispatching, equipment history, appointment reminders, payment processing and inventory. Knowify is organised around the contract job, so a service-led business is effectively buying two products.

**

### How many users are included with Knowify?

**

Core includes one, Advanced includes ten. A user is anyone who logs in, and extras are $29/month. Core overtakes Advanced at the **ninth user** — $331 vs $329 — and ten people costs $360.

**

### Does Knowify include inventory management?

**

Inventory sits on the Enterprise tier, whose price is not published, so you cannot work out the cost without a sales conversation. Some inventory capability is also referenced inside Service Pro.

**

### Is Knowify a good fit for electrical contractors?

**

It fits commercial electrical contractors whose work is bid, phased and billed in stages, and Knowify publishes a dedicated electrical page. It fits residential electrical businesses less well, because same-day service work is exactly what the paid add-on covers.

**

### What is the difference between Knowify and BuildOps?

**

Both target commercial trade contractors at different scales and with very different transparency. Knowify publishes full pricing from $99/month for one user. BuildOps publishes none, positions for larger commercial construction with Sage and Viewpoint integrations, and states it is trusted by 1,500+ commercial contractors.

**

### Does Knowify offer a free trial?

**

Yes — a “start your free trial” action appears against each published plan.
